USF Polytechnic fallout

David Touchton has become the University of South Florida Polytechnic's interim leader after USF President Judy Genshaft removed Marshall Goodman from the Lakeland campus's top administrative post. Goodman, the college's chancellor since 2006, had led USF Poly's efforts to break off from the USF system. Touchton, a Lakeland accountant and 1965 graduate of the college, was a leader in a group that asked the Florida Board of Governors to slow down before deciding whether to make USF Poly independent. Touchton will earn $250,000 while USF searches for Goodman's replacement.
